What is a green career?

At GenGreen, we believe that a green career is any career where you have a positive impact on the environment through the work that you do. That could be anything from an Ecologist, Data Scientist, Marketer, Business Analyst, and so much more. 

Securing an entry-level role with a business or organisation that cares about its environmental impact is a great first step in a lifelong career that can take you in so many different directions.

Your options

In the UK, there are four levels of apprenticeship you can choose from, depending on your prior qualifications and experience:

  • Intermediate (Level 2)

    Equivalent to GCSEs

  • Advanced (Level 3)

    Equivalent to A levels

  • Higher (Levels 4 and 5)

    Equivalent to a foundation degree or the first year of an undergraduate degree

  • Degree (Levels 6 and 7)

    Equivalent to a bachelor’s or master’s degree
